Who are we?

The Centralia Opera is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing classical singing to Centralia, Illinois and the surrounding communities through performance and education. The founders of the Centralia Opera believe that opera is an art form for everyone. We at the Centralia Opera hope that through our educational concerts and productions, we can make opera more engaging to everyone, especially the community that fostered us and our love for music. We hope that the Centralia Opera’s Student Fellowship Program gives young singers in Southern Illinois the chance to explore their potential and make connections with professional singers, leading to a lifelong confidence and appreciation for the performing arts. To help support our mission, please consider making a tax-deductible donation today.
